Age at Injection
3-4 months
Time After Injection
1-8 weeks
Detection Method
Immunohistochemistry, fiber photometry
Assay & Results
Very limited expression in noradrenergic cells of locus coeruleus. Tested 1 week to 8 weeks after injection.
Functional Testing
Weak/unreliable signal on fiber photometry.
Other Information
Yes - I experienced toxicity in the sense that several animals developed seizures at the higher titers (undiluted or diluted 1:5), but I would get no GCaMP signal at lower titers.
Tips & Comments
I tested multiple capsids and promoters, and have found that AAV5-CAG works best.
